Autoresponders for Online Giving forms

The following table lists the trigger for each Donation Form autoresponder.

Note: This table does not include the Donation Classic autoresponders.

Note: Organization Name may be added through personalization on the Standard Donation Thank You, Donation Full Refund, and Donation Partial Refund autoresponders.

Donation Full Refund Administrator processes a full refund Donor who requested the refund Should include information regarding the refund
Donation Partial Refund Administrator processes a partial refund Donor who requested the partial refund  
Failed Sustaining Payment Notification System receives notification that a sustaining payment has failed Donor whose payment has failed This autoresponder should:

  • Alert donors that they need to update their credit card information

  • Include a link to the Donor Self-Service Center (if you are using that feature)

  • Include a personal contact in your organization
Installment Final Thank You System detects the final payment for an installment gift Donor Should thank the donor for the entire amount of their contribution
Installment Initial Thank You Donor makes the first payment of an installment gift Donor Should include the total to which the donor has committed, as well as the amount and date of the next payment
Installment Subsequent Thank You System detects any payment that is part of an installment gift, except the first or last Donor Should include the amount and date of the next payment
Next Installment Payment Notification System detects an installment gift payment due in five days for a plan with payments six or more months apart Donor Should include info about the upcoming payment, subscription terms, and how to cancel the subscription
Next Sustaining Payment Notification System detects a sustaining gift payment due in five days for a plan with payments six or more months apart Donor Should include info about the upcoming payment, subscription terms, and how to cancel the subscription
Standard Donation Thank You Donor makes a standard single payment donation Donor Should include a transaction summary that donors can print for their records; note that the default message is similar to the default onscreen thank you message
Sustaining Final Thank You System detects the final payment for a sustaining gift Donor Should thank the donor for the entire amount of their contribution
Sustaining Gift Cancelled Administrator cancels an ongoing gift Donor who requested the cancellation  
Sustaining Initial Thank You Donor makes the first payment of a sustaining gift Donor Should include the total to which the donor has committed, as well as the amount and date of the next payment
