Create a Campaign with Minimum Setup
To create a campaign with the minimum setup, you need to provide a title, security category, page wrapper, merchant account, and the types of funds available. The system will then create a donation form to collect donor information and process payments, display the Personal Fundraising Campaigns list page, and publish the campaign.
Additionally, fund champions must:
Enter their name and email address, and their mailing address and telephone number are requested as additional information
Make an initial (seed) gift
Accept the Waiver
To create a campaign with minimum setup
From the navigation bar, select Fundraising, Personal Fundraising.
Select Create a Personal Fundraising Campaign.
For Campaign Title, enter a descriptive label that identifies the purpose of the funds created under this campaign. This title displays in campaign lists displayed by site visitors, fund champions, and other administrators who view or search for campaigns.
For Campaign Status, select either Published or Unpublished to specify when gifts can be applied to a fund.
For Campaign Security Category:
Leave General selected to allow everyone to create funds within this campaign.
Or, to restrict creation of funds to a specific constituents, click the appropriate group from the drop-down list.
For Page Wrapper:
Leave Use the default Page Wrapper selected to use the site wrapper that defines the elements in the margins around the content of the campaign pages.
Or, click the Override the default Page Wrapper option and click the appropriate wrapper from the drop-down list displayed.
For Campaign Merchant Account, select a checkout account into which to deposit all money collected by the funds associated with this campaign. You can only select from accounts in the categories for which you have permissions.
Warning: As of March 2025, all credit and debit card transactions must use Blackbaud Payment Service. Choose a Blackbaud Merchant Services account compatible with the latest checkout to offer the most payment options and end-to-end transaction management.
Tip: You can search for an account and scroll through the results within the dropdown for the Merchant Account field.
For Campaign Type, to: Enable all three types of funds to be created within this campaign, leave the default Allow Honorary, Memorial, and Personal Funds selected. Or, allow only one type of fund to be created, click the drop-down list and click the appropriate fund type.
For Champion Dashboard:
Leave the checkmark in the checkbox to display the Champion Dashboard page that enables champions who create multiple funds to switch between their funds.
Or, click the checkbox to remove the checkmark so this page will not be used.

Click Finish. The Personal Fundraising Campaigns list page displays with your new campaign in the list with the status of Published.
