PDF Gift Receipts

Receipt Manager creates PDF receipts for online and offline transactions for one-time gifts and aggregated sustaining gifts. PDF receipts remain available for up to two years. You can resend a copy to the donor, void it, or take other actions in Transactions for the payment transaction associated with the receipt.

Note: Contact Blackbaud Support to enable Receipt Manager for one-time or sustaining gift receipts.

Two types of receipts are available:

• One-time gift receipt

  After setup, receipts automatically attach to transaction autoresponder emails.

• Sustaining gift receipt

  After setup, aggregate the sustaining donations gift data in batches of your choosing. You'll send sustaining gift receipts to donors using an Email Campaign.

To get started, upload a receipt template file that contains appropriate fields and text blocks for your organization.

Tip: Configure receipts to comply with U.S., Canadian, and international standards for tax reporting. See Tax Requirements for Receipts.

Tip: To comply with Mastercard’s recurring subscription requirements, we recommend that you update the language of your receipts to include the link to your Gift Service Center or other cancellation means (for example, add an email address or phone number).
