Send an AI acknowledgement from the list of gifts
Tip: To use AI acknowledgements, your organization admin must first enable generative AI features in your Blackbaud environment. For instructions, see the Opt In to Generative AI Features Globally help.
From AI Acknowledgements, Acknowledgements to review, you can view a list of gifts that have not yet received an acknowledgement, and send a unique, personalized acknowledgement to each of them with AI Acknowledgements.
Note: Alternatively, you can send AI acknowledgements directly from a gift record.
-
From AI Acknowledgements, Acknowledgements to review, select a donor from the list.
-
Select an email address for the donor.
-
Under Customize message, select an AI Profile to determine the tone, acknowledgement letter, gift details, and additional rules to apply to the acknowledgement message. For more information, see Add or edit an AI profile.
Note: If the AI Profile you select doesn't have these features defined, you can select change them now on the individual acknowledgment.
-
Review the AI generated content. Select Generate new message to receive a different acknowledgement message. You can generate as many messages as you want, and they'll always be different.
Note: Replace any placeholder content between brackets. For example, replace [Your Name] with your actual name and remove the brackets.
-
To review and update the email's design, select Open email designer.
Tip: To update the design of the template, go to Configuration, Acknowledgement templates. For more information, see Acknowledgement templates.
The email_body merge field in the email's design will populate with the AI generated text. You can add more text to the email, such as "No good or services were received in return for this donation." For more information, see Email designer.
Select Apply.
Note: Any additional text you add to the email will appear in the acknowledgement sent to the donor, but it won't display under Message Text in Review AI acknowledgement emails.
-
Select Send Message. You can view a copy of the message on the constituent's record under Actions.
