Appeal Analysis for Campaigns or Funds
Appeals — the solicitations used to ask donors for gifts — can help raise money toward specific campaigns or funds. To compare the effectiveness of your solicitations, you can view how much each appeal acquired for your fundraising efforts in
Tip: With the Revenue type filter, you can choose whether to analyze revenue received through cash-in-hand giving or committed through pledges and matching gifts. For more information, see Revenue and Recognition.
Under Campaigns, you can compare giving toward your campaigns, which represent your overall fundraising efforts or initiatives. To compare the effectiveness of your solicitations, view how much each appeal acquires for a campaign under Campaigns by appeal.
Tip: To analyze specific solicitations or initiatives, filter the Campaigns by appeal metric by the appeals or campaigns to include. For more information, see Campaigns Analysis Filters.
Under Funds, you can compare giving toward your funds, which represent the donor's intent for how you should use a gift. To compare the effectiveness of your solicitations, you can view how much each appeal acquires for a fund under Funds by appeal.
Tip: To analyze specific solicitations or causes, filter the Funds by appeal metric by the appeals or funds to include. For more information, see Funds Analysis Filters.
Tip: To view a list of gifts included in the number-crunching, select the bar in the chart. For further analysis, select Create list to open the list in Lists, where you can apply additional filters, choose columns, and save for future reuse. For more information, see Lists.
