Campaign Records

The modernized Campaign record allows you to visually monitor your fundraising efforts, understand donor engagement, and track progress toward your goals. Whether you're managing a simple annual appeal or a multi-year capital effort, the updated layout helps you quickly see what’s working, what needs attention, and where to focus next.

This topic walks you through what’s in the new Campaign record, what you can do in each area, and how to make the most of its new insights — whether you’re using the standard experience or the enhanced premium features with Chat for Blackbaud AI and Analysis Assistant.

From the Campaign record, you can:

  • Edit the existing campaign details

  • Delete the campaign

  • Mark a campaign active or inactive

  • Add or update a summary note

  • Save preferences for the campaign record independently from appeal and fund record views

Tip: Use the campaign’s Summary note to capture context — such as the campaign’s purpose, timeline, or major milestones.

Visual Insights Into Campaign Performance

The tiles on the Overview, Details, and Analysis (Premium) tabs give you near real-time visualizations that update dynamically (no page reload) when you adjust filters such as Gift date or Revenue type. Many tiles are interactive — hover to see details or select to open underlying records in a flyout.

Permissions and Security

Raiser’s Edge NXT applies role-based access controls throughout the campaign record.

  • Users only see what their security settings allow.

  • Tile interactions respect record-level security.

  • Editing requires the appropriate permissions.

If you don’t see certain tiles or capabilities, check with your admin.

Extending the Campaign Record

If your organization builds customizations, developers can extend the campaign record using SKY API.

Developers can:

  • Add page actions

  • Add custom tiles to any tab

  • Add new tabs

  • Rely on full compatibility with existing SKY APIs
