Low likelihood

Candidates in the Low likelihood list have a lower Major giving likelihood (unlikely to give more than $10,000 in the next twelve months) and are assigned to a fundraiser. Being low likelihood might indicate a change in giving or wealth indicators, so these candidates are now considered unlikely to become major donors. You may want to remove them from your portfolio.

Tip: To see candidates who were dismissed from this list, check Your prospects or All assigned prospects. List availability depends on your permissions.

Note: Prospect Insights automatically creates lists using your prospect pool and predictive analytics to determine list composition. For more information on list availability and size, see Manage Prospect Insights lists.

Tip: Use filters to save time.
To filter the list by assigned fundraisers, select them from Fundraiser. Only active fundraisers appear in the list. To view all fundraisers, including those marked inactive, select Show inactive.
Note: The Fundraiser filter is only available to authorized users. For more information, see Roles, tasks, and permissions and Permissions.

Prospects are listed in priority order based on who needs action first. Start at the top of the list.

For each candidate:

  1. Select the candidate and review the information on the following tabs to help you decide if you want to continue major giving cultivation.

    From Analysis you can view the following information:

    Under Recommendations, you can see the recommended actions to take for a prospect. The recommendations are based on the summary analysis, which appears under Analysis. The analysis also indicates why a prospect appears in this list.

    Note: Recommendations are suggestions for one possible course of action based on our predictive analytics. Use your personal knowledge of the prospect and other factors to determine the best approach to take. Recommendations provide a starting point for consideration and should not limit any possible actions you can take.

    Under Biographical you can view a prospect's age, address, relationship information, and Constituent codes. The information comes from the prospect's constituent record.

    Under Prospect management you can view a prospect's assigned fundraisers, their status, any open actions, and current opportunities. The information comes from the prospect's constituent record.

    Under Giving and wealth you can view a snapshot of a prospect's giving to your organization over the last few years, including the first, latest, and greatest gifts given to your organization. You can also view a prospect’s estimated net worth and assets. For more information about specific wealth attributes, see Giving Indicators.

  2. Do you want to continue major giving cultivation?

    • If not, remove the assigned fundraisers.

      • Fundraisers: to unassign yourself as the fundraiser for this candidate, select Remove from my portfolio.

      Leadership:

      1. Select Manage fundraisers and then for each fundraiser, select End assignment and enter an end date for the assignment.

        2. Note: Removing assigned fundraisers removes the fundraisers from the Raiser’s Edge NXT constituent's record. For more information, see Fundraiser Assignments.

      2. Select Finish review, Permanently remove from this queue.

      3. Select a reason for dismissing the candidate. The selection and the date it was made appear on the constituent's record, providing a record for the dismissal.

        4. Tip: To help your future self and your co-workers, add a comment providing context for the dismissal. Don't include any sensitive information in the comment, as anyone with access to the constituent's Prospect Insights data can see the comments.

        Dismissing a candidate permanently removes them from the Low likelihood list and they will not come up again for review. You can still access them from Prospects.

      Note: The candidate is removed from the Low likelihood list. They are not removed from your Raiser’s Edge NXT constituent records. And, if the candidate is still assigned to a fundraiser, the candidate's Prospect Insights data is viewable via Your prospects.

    • If so:

      • Fundraisers: select Keep in my portfolio.

      Leadership:

      1. Consider adding an action to re-evaluate the prospect's interest in major giving. To add an action for the candidate, select Add action. For more information about actions and how to work with them, see Actions.

        2. Note: Any actions you add appear on the prospect's constituent record.

      2. Select Finish review and choose a time period for reevaluating the prospect.

        3. The prospect will appear again in the Low likelihood list after the selected time period if they still meet the criteria for the queue.
