Add new user import data
When you need to add new data to your import file, you'll want to ask your IT department to follow the steps in this article.

Make sure your data doesn't already exist:

Check your import file

Check existing import questions

Go to Opportunity, General Applications, Questions.

At the top right, select Questions, Import Data.

On a question, select Edit.

Review the Import Header.

Check for unmapped import headers:

Follow the steps to Create an import question.

Once you're creating a Single Question, review the available Import Headers.

If not, add a column to your import file with your new data.

Reach out to Support to help you drop and re-upload your import file. For more guidance, see Work with user imports.
Once you've brought your new data into the system, you need to include it on the General Application:

Go to Opportunity, General Applications, Questions.

At the top right, select Questions, Import Data.

Select Add Applicant Question.

To add an existing question, locate it in the list and select +

Select Single Question:

Add question text.

For the Import Header, select the column you added to your import file.

Select the question type:

Select other options as needed, including:

Reviewable: Allow reviewers to see answers to this question

Stewardship Visible: Share answers to this question with Stewardship Management

Applicant Searchable: Allow applicants to search for opportunities containing this question. For more info, see Improve applicant search.

Select Save Question.

Under Existing Questions, find your question and select +.

Close the window.

At the bottom of the page, select Update Questions.
Tip: To create import fields only available to certain administrators, perform these steps from the Administrator tab. For more guidance, see Add and answer administrator questions.
If you've added an import field during an awarding cycle (i.e., while applicants are in your system), you may want this information available on submitted General Applications.
