Group welcome email

Group admins can enable a custom welcome email that new members receive when they join the group. This email is in addition to any confirmation emails that might be sent. The group welcome email is enabled by default.

Note: The program settings and group settings determine what groups members and admins can see and do.

If you enable the email but do not customize the text, new members receive a generic email notification confirming they have been added to a group. You can preview both versions of the email in the Email Library.

Tip: To post public messages within your group page, see Group message posts. To send direct messages to group members, see Group admin messages.
