Manage Data Mappings
Making sure your mappings are correct helps the agent record each interaction the right way for your organization. This keeps your data clean, supports compliance, and makes it easier to review engagement and fundraising results later.
The agent logs each constituent interaction and labels it using the options you choose below. You can see these interactions in Portfolio under the Action list.
Mid‑level giving definition
When the agent automatically assigns constituents, it looks for those who meet your organization’s definition of a mid‑level donor. By default, this includes constituents whose potential gift amount, based on Prospect Insights ratings, falls between $500 and $10,000, but you can update this range at any time.
Optionally define the gift amount range your organization considers mid‑level giving. The available Upper limit options depend on the Lower limit you select.

Completed actions
Select the action status the agent should apply when it marks an interaction as complete, such as Completed. You can select an existing status or choose + New to create one.
The agent will always use this status when it finishes or completes an action. Many organizations simply use Completed, but you can choose any status that fits your process.
Tip: To view your current action statuses, go to Settings, Tables, Actions.
Action types
Action types help categorize the different kinds of outreach the agent performs. The agent assigns action types based on the nature of the interaction. For example, most introductory messages and general back‑and‑forth conversations are Engagement actions.
Create a mapping for each type of outreach the agent can perform. When you set up your workflow, you’ll choose the matching action category in Raiser's Edge NXT. The agent will use that category when recording the interaction. Select an existing action type or choose + New to add one.

-
Cultivation - Build relationships and trust with prospects before asking for support. These messages introduce your mission, share updates, and establish a connection before any request for support is made.
-
Engagement - Invite constituents to get involved beyond giving, such as attending events, joining programs, or participating in other opportunities aligned with their interests.
-
Information Update - Inform constituents about new information for your organization.
-
Solicitation - Encourage constituents to give in support of your mission. Solicitation is never the first communication an agent sends.
The agent does not follow a fixed timeline or set number of messages before making an ask. Instead, it guides relationships over time — moving from early cultivation and engagement toward solicitation only when appropriate.
Before making a solicitation, the agent considers available information from the constituent’s record, such as interactions, engagement history, and other signals. This helps ensure requests feel timely, relevant, and respectful rather than automatic or premature.
In Donation form, provide the complete URL to your donation form.
Note: Links that exceed the 160‑character limit for SMS are sent by email only.
-
Stewardship - Thank and recognize donors after they give. These messages show appreciation, reinforce impact, and help donors feel valued and connected to your organization.
Preferred salutation
Salutations determine how the name appears as a greeting in an email or SMS message. By default, the agent uses the primary salutation as defined in each constituent record.
Optionally select a salutation for the agent to use when addressing constituents.
Consent
Select a solicit code the agent should use when recording a constituent's consent to receive agent communications. You can choose an existing code or select + New to create one.
