Groups

Use the Groups dashboard to report on your CSRconnect group engagement. For more about groups, see Groups in the CSRconnect Help.

Note: The Groups dashboard only includes active groups.

Tip: To learn more about the data on the dashboard, see the Groups Data Dictionary.

Group filters include:

  • Date

  • Group Program Name

  • Group Name

  • Event Classification

  • Group Tags

  • Group Member Active

Tip: This page defaults to Group Membership view and describes your organization's group membership. Select Group Event Volunteerism to switch your view and focus on group volunteer data instead.

Key Performance Indicators

You can view summary data for four key performance indicators (KPIs):

  • Group Engagement: The total number of employees with group membership, divided by the number of active employees

Note: The system calculates the number of active employees for a given date range based on employees' hire dates and inactive dates (when applicable). When there is no provided hire date, the system uses the date the employee was added to the HR file.

  • Total Group Members: The sum of each group's member count

Warning: If an employee is in multiple groups, they are counted multiple times.

  • Group Member Join Rate: The number of new members, divided by the number of total members

  • Group Member Attrition Rate: The number of members who left, divided by the number of total members

Each KPI includes how that KPI's performance compares to the previous year.

Group Activity by Location

In Group Membership view, you can view locations in which your employees have joined a group.

In Group Event Volunteerism view, you can view locations in which your employees have participated in a group volunteer event.

Each map section's color corresponds to the number of group members or events. Darker colors indicate more group members or group events in that region. Hover over the map to view values for a region.

To adjust the map to a more granular level:

  1. Hover over a location.

  2. Select Drill down.

For example, you can hover over a state and select Drill down to view that state's data by county.

To adjust the map to a higher level:

  1. Hover over a location.

  2. Select Drill up.

For example, you can hover over a state and select Drill up to view data at a country level.

Tip: Select a region on the map to filter the rest of the dashboard and display data for that region only.

Year Over Year

View group participation year-over-year. Hover over the graph to view values, or select a year in this graph to filter the entire dashboard.

Group Engagement

In Group Membership view, you can view engagement based on each group's join rate, attrition rate, and size.

Each group bubble's location relates to the group's join and attrition rates. For example, groups with a low attrition rate and a high join rate are growing and appear in the upper left of the graph. Groups with a high attrition rate and low join rate are shrinking and appear in the lower right.

The size of each group's bubble relates to the group's population size. Larger bubbles show larger groups.

In Group Event Volunteerism view, you can view engagement based on each event's total hours and engagement rate.

Top Groups and Charities

In Group Membership view, you can view which ten groups have added the most new members.

In Group Event Volunteerism view, you can view which five charities have the most group event volunteer hours.

Group Engagement Table

You can view group engagement data in table format by group program, by an employee attribute, or by group events.

By default, this table displays data by group program in Groups Engagement view.

To switch the display:

  1. Select Employee Attributes or Group Events.

  2. If you select employee attributes, you must also select your desired attributes to display in the table.

Tip: The order in which you select attributes determines the order in which they display in the table.

Note: Other attributes are based on your HR file inputs.
