Process Two-Step Delayed Self-Pledges using the Delayed Self-Pledge Report
Note: One-step Delayed Self-Pledge implementations must use the Delayed Self-Pledges tab to collect funds.
For two-step Delayed Self-Pledge implementations, you'll follow this process to collect committed funds. This process requires specific report columns and column headings in the generated CSV to upload and process pledges.
If you aren't yet collecting funds, you can run the Delayed Self-Pledge Report using any column option as described in the Reports section. See Delayed Self-Pledge Reports.
How does it work?
After the fundraising deadline passes, create the Delayed Self-Pledge Report in Report Writer to compile the amounts due for each participant.
There are four different columns associated with the Delayed Self-Pledge report, and you can choose which one to use for calculating the amounts due.
DSP Pledge Amount Due (confirmed gifts only) include online payments confirmed by an event administrator or manager. This option does not include unconfirmed gifts or recurring gifts that are pending payment.
DSP Pledge Amount Due (confirmed and unconfirmed gifts) include online payments confirmed by an administrator or manager and promised gifts that are pending payment. This option does not include recurring gift payments.
DSP Pledge Amount Due (confirmed and recurring gifts) include online payments confirmed by an administrator or manager and pledges set on a payment schedule. This option does not include promised gifts that are pending payment.
DSP Pledge Amount Due (confirmed, unconfirmed, and recurring gifts) include all gifts whether payment has been received or not.
When the file is ready, upload it to initiate payment processing, which converts the delayed self-pledges to recurring (sustaining) gifts for each person. The system sends autoresponder emails to each person to remind them about their payment and payment schedule.
