Companies and Sponsors
Companies are businesses, like large corporations or local businesses, that are associated with teams or act as sponsors to the event in some way. They can support a team of people they have a relationship with, sponsor a team of employees, or provide sponsorship money directly to the event.
Companies are a helpful way of building relationships with businesses while gaining more support and participation for your TeamRaiser event.

Let's say a company, Healthy Foods, decides to associate themselves with your event, the Fun Run. Healthy Foods might encourage their employees to participate in the Fun Run, and people might sign up for the event because they saw a poster for the event at Healthy Foods. The Fun Run benefits because more people are participating in the event, and Healthy Foods gains more visibility as a business.
There are three types of companies, and their differences are described below.
Local Companies can only be associated with a single event. This company type can also exist solely as a sponsor of an event.
Healthy Foods is only associated with the Austin Fun Run event.
Regional Companies are associated with multiple TeamRaiser events of a certain event type.
Healthy Foods is associated with the Fun Run event type for the Texas and South Carolina TeamRaiser events.
National Companies are associated with all TeamRaiser events of a certain event type.
Healthy Foods is associated with the Fun Run event type for all TeamRaiser events in the United States.
You can access Local Companies when you manage a TeamRaiser and select the Local Companies tab. The Regional Company and National Company are categorized as Cross-Event Companies and are accessible from the Cross-Event Companies tab.
