Tags and Recommendations
To help focus on relationships that need your attention, Raiser's Edge NXT automatically listens to your active constituent records and tags them each night based on special situations such as upcoming birthdays or lapsed giving. With these tags, you can prioritize interactions and easily identify donors to engage with. For each tag, we recommend you respond appropriately to help cultivate the relationship.
Tip: For information about attachment tags, see Attachment Tags.

Similar to a Last Year But Unfortunately Not This (LYBUNT) or Some Year But Unfortunately Not This (SYBUNT) yearly report, these tags indicate a donor who hasn't given in a while.
-
At-risk donors haven't given a gift or received a soft credit in 12-15 months. To retain the donor, reach out with a friendly interaction to reconnect, and suggest a recurring gift for more regular giving.
-
Lapsing donors haven't given a gift or received a soft credit in 15-24 months. Review their giving history to see which current campaigns and appeals fit their interests and passions, and suggest a recurring gift for more regular giving.
-
Lapsed donors haven't given a gift or received a soft credit in two to five years. Review your relationship with them to determine why they stopped giving and decide whether to recapture them or mark them as inactive to focus on others.
-
Lost donors haven't given a gift or received a soft credit in over five years. To acquire these donors (again), treat them as new prospects, and promptly acknowledge new gifts with personal interactions and welcome packages.
For more information, see Donor Attrition.

This tag indicates someone who recently attended an event with your organization in the past two weeks. To keep the constituent engaged, create an action to follow up with them while you're still fresh in their mind to thank them for their participation, listen to any feedback, and ask if they'd like to be more involved. For more information, see Event Best Practices.

For insight into your donors' giving capacity, Target Analytics, a division of Blackbaud, Inc., automatically rates a constituent's wealth based on their public assets. This tag indicates someone who Target Analytics gave a rating of at least three stars. To determine their capacity to give, review their wealth ratings and giving history. Assign them to an attentive fundraiser or researcher to look into their likelihood to give, based on their prospect status. For information about the wealth ratings, see Blackbaud NXT Ratings.

This tag indicates a donor with a next ask amount greater than their largest gift. Pay this constituent some extra attention and look for opportunities to increase their next ask.

To help recognize new donors so they know you appreciate their support, this tag indicates a constituent that gave their first gift in the past two weeks. We recommend you create an action to appropriately welcome the donor, thank them for their generosity, and see if they'd like to get more involved.

To help ensure no donors are neglected, this tag indicates when a constituent's assigned to a fundraiser and continue to give, but haven't had a completed action in at least 90 days. To keep the donor engaged, reach out with a quick note to see if they'd like to be more involved, and track the interaction with a completed action.

To help increase engagement, this tag indicates when a constituent's assigned to a fundraiser but haven't had a meeting in at least six months. We recommend you contact the constituent through their preferred channel to see if they'd like to meet for an informal interaction — such as lunch or coffee — to discuss their interest in your mission.
Tip: For a constituent's preferred channel, refer to their preferred or primary contact information. For more information, see Contact Information.

This tag indicates a donor with an outstanding pledge installment past its due date. We recommend you create an action to follow up with a friendly reminder and determine whether they'll fulfill the commitment.
Tip: If the donor can't fulfill their commitment, you can write off the pledge or installment. In the database view, select Gift, Write Off from the menu bar of the pledge's gift record.

To help ensure donors feel appreciated, this tag indicates when one gave a gift or received a soft credit in the past two weeks. We recommend you create an action to reach out and appropriately thank the donor for their gift through their preferred channel.
Note: If a constituent has a Recent gift tag but you don't see the gift in their giving, it may be restricted through fund security. For more information, see Record Security.

For insight into your donors' giving capacity, Target Analytics, a division of Blackbaud, Inc., automatically rates a constituent's wealth based on their public assets. This tag indicates when Target Analytics screened a constituent and returned wealth capacity information in the past two weeks. Events are a great opportunity to meet with a constituent in person, to put faces to both their name and your organization. This tag indicates when someone registered to attend an upcoming event with your organization. We recommend you create an action to meet with them at the event to see if they'd like to be more involved and which current campaigns meet their interests and passions.
Note: In the database view, the Registration field on an event registrant's record indicates whether they registered for the event. In the web view, you can view a constituent's registration status under Party information on their event participant record.

This tag indicates someone with a birthday in the next two weeks. As birthdays are a great excuse to reach out and recognize a constituent, we recommend you create an action to quickly and thoughtfully wish them well on their special day and show you appreciate their support.
