What's coming soon
As part of the upcoming 24.5.0 release, targeted for April 30, 2024, we will update a few CSRconnect data feeds.
General community
If you use the basic authentication login method, you will see the employee ID email and password fields on the first login page. You must now select First time logging in? to enter your temporary password if this is your first time logging into YourCause CSRconnect. A list of password instructions, if any are determined by the affiliate, will appear as well.
You no longer need to enter your temporary password on the second login page when you are logging in for the first time. You will be redirected to a page to review disclaimers and acknowledgments instead.
The Stranded Funds Automation feature will be enabled for all clients by April 8, 2024. This process ensures that stranded funds from your organization are efficiently reissued or redirected.
To support this update, we have updated the Transaction Redirects settings to include global processors. For each enabled processor, admins can select an alternate organization and up to 4 additional suggested organizations. Clients can set a preferred alternate organization in CSRconnect Admin Portal, Processing Settings, Transaction Redirects if they do not wish to leave the processor as their default alternate organization.
For more information, see Stranded Funds Automation or Stranded Funds Automation FAQ.
We have updated the text on the Initiate vetting request form to reflect the current CSRconnect vetting request process. You can access this form by selecting the Needs Vetting indicator from the Charity Profile page of an unvetted charity.
We have renamed Help in the CSRconnect Admin Portal menu to Support. This change was made so users do not confuse the option with Help Center, which redirects to the product documentation. Support redirects to support options for the product.
We have ended support for the Text to Engage feature. This feature has been removed from the CSRconnect Admin Portal and the mobile number field for this feature has been removed from the My Account page. Multi-factor authentication uses a separate phone number field and is not affected by this update.
We have ended support for the old version of the home page. For information about the current home page feature, see Home page design.
We have added information about stranded funds from recurring pledges to the Redirect Needed email notifications. These emails (SC001, SC002) have been updated in the Email Library.
Give
Previously, the Do Not Apply Match option was selected by default. Now, if you have an available match program, that match program is selected by default when you are completing a donation.
If you have more than one available match program, the match program with the earliest end date is selected by default.
If you have multiple available match programs with the same end date, the program with the highest match amount or ratio is selected.
If you have multiple available match programs with the same end date and the same match amount, the programs are sorted by alphabetical order and the first option alphabetically is selected.
Incentives
To support future incentive enhancements, admins can now create employee caps as part of the budgeting process. An employee cap is a matching fund limit provided to each employee within a group and is available in multiple currencies.
With this update, admins can:
-
Create new employee caps
-
Edit existing employee caps
-
Archive employee caps
-
Restore archived employee caps
Note: Employee caps cannot be archived if they are attached to active incentive programs.
Cap migration
Existing employee caps created for incentive programs have been migrated to the new Employee caps page, which is in the Budgeting menu on the CSRconnect Admin Portal. Admins will not need to enable or recreate existing active caps.
For more information, see Employee caps.
Peer to Peer Fundraising
We have added the option to require admin approval of Peer to Peer Fundraisers.
To support this feature, the following updates have been made in CSRconnect:
-
In communities with fundraiser approval enabled, newly created or edited fundraisers will enter the Pending Approval state. Pending fundraisers cannot receive donations and will not appear in fundraiser search. Once approved, the fundraiser will automatically publish and become active.
-
The Fundraisers Manager has been added to the CSRconnect Admin Portal. Admins can use this page to approve or decline any pending fundraisers.
-
A new Can Approve Fundraiser permission has been added to the CSRconnect Admin Portal.
-
New email notifications have been created for the fundraiser approval process. These emails have been added to the Email Library.
For more information, see Peer to Peer Fundraiser Approval.
There are four new fields included in the My Fundraiser report. These columns will only include matches that have been approved by an admin.
-
Approved Match Amount in USD
-
Default Approved Match Amount
-
Total Raised Amount in USD
-
Default Total Raised Amount
Volunteer
Admins handling Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) opportunities can now edit comments by selecting View Status Information for requests that have been approved or declined. Any previous comments remain displayed, but admins can add additional comments. Updated comments appear in Tableau.
Reporting
The Select Event Status Types filter is now included when building the Volunteer Events Report. Select one or more filter options:
-
Not available
-
Live
-
Declined
-
Pending
-
Request Change
The Number of Occurrences column now reflects the number of occurrences based on whether the report was pulled by event or by shift.
If an incentive is listed as "Eligible" but has passed the RedemptionEndDate, it no longer appears in the Incentive Transaction Report. In addition, the IncentiveRedemptionEndDate column is now included in the report.
CSRconnect admin portal
Budgeting sections are now available through permission access. To grant or deny access, navigate to CSRconnect Admin Portal, Users, Manage Roles (for the specific role), Community, and select the applicable permission.
If users navigate to budgeting pages using direct links but do not have permission to do so, they cannot access the page.
In communities with segmentation, admins can now apply community branding settings to multiple segments. In CSRconnect Admin Portal, Community Settings, Community Branding, admins can select Apply to Segments and choose segments to inherit the current branding settings.
For more information, see Community branding.
Miscellaneous
The YourCause and NPOconnect client guide is now available in the NPOconnect Help Center. If you've included the PDF version of this resource in your programs and email communications, all links should be updated to redirect to the updated article linked below.
Note: This guide introduces organizations to the YourCause Nonprofit Platform, including how NPOconnect helps them manage their nonprofit profile. It can be used to educate potential nonprofit admins on how to register with NPOconnect so their organization can receive funding.
