Giving Level Analysis for Campaigns, Funds, or Appeals
To analyze the type of gifts — and how much — constituents give in response to an appeal or toward a campaign or fund, you can quickly view a breakdown of the ranges of its gift amounts on its record or analyze giving across all your active campaigns, fund, or appeals.
Tip: With the Revenue type filter, you can choose whether to analyze revenue received through cash-in-hand giving or committed through pledges and matching gifts. For more information, see Revenue and Recognition.

To determine the type of constituent a fund or appeal attracts, such as a handful of major donors who contribute large amounts or many constituents with small, one-time gifts, open its record. Under Donors by giving level, you can view a breakdown of how much each constituent gave to the fund or in response to the appeal. For example, if a constituent gives two gifts of $100 and $200 each, for a total of $300, they appear in the $250-$1,000 range.
For insight into the supporters of a fund or appeal, compare the giving levels of its gifts to those of its donors. For example, if the Gifts by giving level chart shows many smaller gifts, but the Donors by giving level chart is top-heavy with many in the larger giving level, the fund or appeal has dedicated donors who give multiple smaller gifts over time.

To determine the size of gift the campaign, fund, or appeal attracts, such as whether its giving skews toward mostly larger or smaller amounts, open its record. Under Gifts by giving level, you can view a breakdown of the gifts toward the campaign or fund or through the appeal by their amount range. This chart includes each individual gift, not the constituents' overall giving. For example, if a constituent gives two gifts of $100 and $200 each, the giving appears in the $101-$250 range, rather than the $251-$500 range.
Tip: To view a list of gifts included in the number-crunching, select the total or metric. For further analysis, select Create list to open the list in Lists, where you can apply additional filters, choose columns, and save for future reuse. For more information, see Lists.
