Event settings
Admins can configure their community's event creation settings from CSRconnect Admin Portal, Volunteer, Event Settings. You must have the Can Manage Volunteer Settings permission. See Roles and permissions.
Tip: Custom text fields cannot be automatically translated, but text fields on this page support custom translations.

Under Main Image, you can upload an image to appear on the Create Opportunity page of your community.

Under Custom Text, you can enter text to appear on the Create Opportunity page of your community. 600 characters maximum.

Under Guests, you can enable the option to allow guest registration. Event creators will choose whether to allow guest registration during the event creation flow.

Enter custom text that appears when a participant is adding a guest. 200 characters maximum.

Under Charity - Add your own, you can allow the event creator to add their own charity if they cannot find their desired charity in your community's list of volunteer-eligible charities.

If you enable Require Volunteer Campaign Selection, event creators will be prompted to indicate if their event is associated with an active volunteer campaign. If there are no active volunteer campaigns, the prompt will not display.

You can select custom question sets to include in event flows.
Note: Your Customer Success Manager can set up custom question sets for you. For more about this feature, see Custom Question Sets.

Under Custom Question Set, you can select sets of questions for event creators or event participants.

Under CRA Question Set, you can select question sets for CRA surveys that will display to event creators or event participants.
Note: The CRA survey for participants will only be displayed for CRA-eligible shifts. See the CRA Eligibility setting below.

To require CRA approval, select Enable CRA Approval for Event Participants after select a CRA question set. Admins will have to approve CRA requests from the CRA Manager or from the Approvals Manager. If this setting is not checked, CRA requests will be auto-approved and will not have to be reviewed.

Under CRA Eligibility, you can decide how CRA eligibility for shifts is determined.

For Creator Choice - Off By Default and Creator Choice - On By Default, event creators will be prompted to indicate a shift's CRA eligibility when they are creating their event or managing their event's shifts.
Note: If no CRA survey has been selected for participants, event creators will not be prompted to indicate CRA eligibility.

For All Events & Shifts, all shifts will be CRA-eligible.
Note: If this option is selected, all existing shift participants who have not completed the survey for that shift will be prompted to do so.

Choose whether to enable Types, Categories, and Tags. For each:

Enter a Custom Name.

Under Tag Set, select the desired tag set.
Note: A tag set is the list of options available when selecting types, categories, or tags. Your Customer Success Manager configures tag sets for you.

For types and categories, you can require employees to select at least one option when recording individual activity.

For types and categories, you can limit employees to select only one option when recording individual activity.

Enter a Description. This will display when employees are prompted to select their activity’s types, categories, or tags.

Under T-Shirts, you can set the size choices that will be available to participants if the event creator chooses to collect shirt sizes for a t-shirt order.
Note: You can delete all size options from this setting to remove the t-shirt option for event creators.

If enabled, Disclaimer requires event participants agree to a company Participant Disclaimer when they sign up for a volunteer event.

To enable, select the toggle and enter your custom disclaimer text.

Under Default Opportunity Page Privacy, select the default privacy setting selected when a participant signs up for a volunteer event.

Under Allow users to add participants, determine whether event creators, organizers, and volunteer admins can add participants to events.

In communities with segmentation, you can copy over the current settings to other segments.

Select Apply to Segments.

Select the segment(s) that will inherit these settings and select Apply.

Check the segment(s) again to confirm, then select Confirm and Apply.

Select Save Changes.
