Add and Manage Layout Components

Use layout components to structure form content so it is easier to complete, easier to review, and easier to maintain. Components such as columns, panels, field sets, tables, and wells help you control how fields are grouped and displayed.

As you build, configure component behavior in Configure Forms and Form Fields to align layout decisions with visibility, validation, and display requirements.

Manage layout components in Form Builder

To place new structural elements on a form page, follow Add Layout Components to Forms.

When a component already exists and needs configuration changes, use Edit Layout Components.

If you need to reposition components within the same page, use Move Layout Components.

To duplicate a configured structure, use Copy and Paste Layout Components, or use Cut and Paste Layout Components when the component should be relocated instead of duplicated.

For conditional display behavior, configure component visibility with Show or Hide Layout Components.

Before removing a container from the form, review impact details in Delete Layout Components, because nested fields and components are removed with the container.
