Analytics, Reporting, and Benchmarking

Measuring Fundraising Success

Learn how to focus on the most meaningful metrics so you can evaluate performance, spot trends early, and make clearer decisions about where to invest time and resources. The more focused your follow-up questions are, the more targeted and practical the guidance becomes. Asking about specific metrics, calculations, or data points helps surface insights you can act on right away.

Locate Key Information Fast

Quickly locate a previously saved report, list, or query without navigating menus. The name portion acts as the search term and matches against saved item names and descriptions, so you can get straight to the information you need.

Campaign Giving Breakdown

Visualize how your campaigns compare when it comes to total giving. If you have a Premium subscription, this prompt returns a bar chart of received revenue for each campaign over the last fiscal year, so you can quickly spot your strongest performers and inform your planning. If you don't have a Premium subscription, this prompt will still work and return the same insights but in a list format.

Campaign Performance Review

See how your campaigns are performing against their fundraising goals, and get concrete strategies to close any gap. This workflow moves from a full revenue breakdown by campaign, to a clear goal-versus-actual comparison for the campaign you want to dig into, to targeted recommendations for improving what's underperforming.

Constituents and Relationships

Prepare for Donor Outreach

Quickly prep for a call or meeting with a clear view of recent gifts, status changes, and activity. You can adjust the time period in the prompt to focus on the history that's most relevant for your conversation.

Relationship Overview

Reveal a constituent's household, organizational, and tribute relationships within your database. Use these connections to coordinate outreach, identify warm introduction paths, and build more targeted relationship-based fundraising strategies.

Portfolio Prospect Mix

See how your portfolio is distributed across prospect classifications so you can spot concentration, balance your pipeline, and focus your outreach where it'll have the biggest impact. This prompt returns a count of constituents grouped by each classification category, such as Major Donor, Planned Giving, or Annual Fund, giving you an instant snapshot of your portfolio composition.

Membership Programs Overview

Quickly see all configured membership programs, with their categories, subcategories, and dues ranges, so you understand your full membership structure at a glance.

Donor Engagement

Assign a Thank-You

Schedule a thank-you action record for a specific constituent to ensure timely acknowledgment and strengthen donor relationships. If you don't have a "thank-you" action type, use one that represents sending a thank-you note. Add helpful context in the notes by elaborating in your prompt, such as: "Assign a thank-you action for Maria Johnson. She just made her first major gift."

Weekly Outreach Priorities

"Who should I reach out to this week, and why?" is one of the most powerful ways to start your week as a fundraiser. Rather than sifting through your portfolio manually, this prompt surfaces Blackbaud AI-driven recommendations based on engagement signals, opportunity readiness, and urgency. This gives you a prioritized starting point for outreach without needing to define any filters yourself.

Meeting Prep Talking Points

Get ready for a donor meeting with personalized conversation topics and background tailored to the specific constituent you're meeting with. Blackbaud AI Chat draws on giving history, recent activity, and relationship data to help you walk in prepared. The best results come when you open the constituent record before using this prompt. With record context loaded, the response incorporates the donor's giving history, event attendance, any open opportunities, and recent actions to give you specific points to reference. Without record context, the response provides general best-practice framing for donor meetings.

Post-Meeting Follow-Up Email

Turn your meeting notes into a polished, personalized follow-up email in seconds. Blackbaud AI Chat uses your notes alongside the constituent's giving history, event participation, and profile data to draft a message that feels timely and relevant.

Year-End Cultivation Plan

Build a multi-step, personalized cultivation plan for a specific donor that's tied to a target ask amount and year-end deadline. The plan draws on the donor's giving history, open opportunities, communication preferences, and volunteer activity so you get a tailored roadmap you can act on right away.
