To help you raise more, Intelligent Ask increases the average gift amount for your organization by presenting one-time gift amounts to anonymous donors. With Intelligent Ask, Blackbaud's data model adjusts the one-time gift amounts you configure on a Standard Donation Form to display the amounts a donor is most likely to give. By default, it is turned on when you create a form. To turn it off, create or edit a Standard Donation Form. Under Get started, Fundraising opportunities, select Intelligent Ask. For more information, see Intelligent Ask in Online Giving help.

Building on recent digital wallet enhancements, Optimized Donation Forms now support PayPal and Venmo for one-time gifts. Previously, these payment methods were only available on Standard Donation Forms.

To accept PayPal and Venmo, connect your PayPal Business and Blackbaud Merchant Services accounts in the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal. For more information, see Get Started with PayPal.

Tip: If your accounts are already connected, PayPal and Venmo display automatically to payers during checkout.

To help you cover online transaction costs, now in Optimized Donation Forms, donors can cover fees when Complete Cover is enabled but a donation isn’t eligible. Donor cover automatically displays if a donation is $3,000 or more.

Note: If donors cover fees when Complete Cover isn't supported, the form allocates those fees to the default fund on the form unless you specify a separate designation from Settings in Online Giving.

Now, you can set the padding and background color for branding card logos specifically for mobile devices. Previously, there was only one setting to apply to devices accessing an Optimized Donation Form. From Online Giving, create or edit an Optimized branding card. Now you can export data from the Total gifts over time chart on all forms or individual forms to use for your own reporting. Export the chart as either an image file, which you can then embed in an application of your choice, or as a csv file or Microsoft Excel (XLSX) file to report on data such as amount raised, average amounts, and total donations.

On individual forms, you can export the Total gifts over time chart, as well as the Recent donations or the the Referral visits summary list to see page views, number of donations, and percentages for each referral. If you have multiple forms, you can use the exported files to compare the success of the forms over a given time.

To export data, from Online Giving, select ... in the Total gifts over time chart, Recent Donations, or Referral visits summary list. For more information, see Performance for All Forms or Performance for Individual Forms.

Help Blackbaud improve the online payment experience by letting us display an optional survey to donors after they check out through your donation forms. When enabled, Blackbaud periodically presents surveys and collects research on user interaction. The survey is turned on by default. To turn it off, go to the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal. From Control panel, Settings, edit an account configuration. Under Checkout survey, clear the option and save.

From the web view, you can now access Online Giving to create Optimized Donation Forms and access your (standard) forms. Optimized forms encourage donors to complete transactions because of a new streamlined design that captures payments before collecting contact information. They also require minimal setup and include the same fee coverage options as standard forms.

Optimized forms:

• Use a branding card you customize with images and your mission statement.

• Are visually appealing, intuitive, and engaging.

• Automatically adjust to increase higher than average gift amounts based on donor data analysis.

• Display anywhere on your website without creating new web pages.

To access Optimized forms, navigate to Online Giving from the solution menu. From Online Giving, you can also:

• Manage users, roles, and settings for optimized and Standard Donation Forms.

• Set up a Blackbaud Merchant Services account, if necessary.

Note: As part of this transition, all your existing donation form users, roles, and settings migrated to Online Giving. However, you can continue to manage them from Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Now, in Online Giving, you can add a designation and appeal through an Optimized Donation Form's hyperlinks without adding them to the form. This enables you to add &desid=ID and &appealid=ID to the end of the links. To find the IDs you want to use, edit an Optimized Form from Blackbaud Apps, Online Giving.

• For designations, from Donation, Designations, select Show All. Enter the designation name and make note of its ID.

  

• For appeals, from Optional fields, Hidden fields, enter the appeal name and make note of its ID.

  

Close the form and copy the type of hyperlink you want to use under Publish, Hyperlinks. Next, append the parameter and its ID to the end of the link inside the quotation marks. For more information, see Parameters in Online Giving Help Center.

If your optimized forms are in test mode, the test donations are not provided with a receipt or displayed in giving statements. This is to avoid confusion if the test donations are deleted later and to prevent assigning receipt numbers to test donations.

To improve capacity limit customization, you can now add a capacity limit to each event fee. For example, if your organization offers one Gold Level Sponsorship for an event, after the associated fee is purchased, it is labeled “Sold out.”

To make managing events easier, you can now copy event participant option fields from one event to another. Participant options are fields you add to events to track custom information about participants, such as t-shirt sizes, meal preferences, and seating requests.

Now, you can allow registrants to decline attendance for an event and prevent them from receiving event updates.

From the registration form designer, under Get Started, Registrant options select Allow registrants to decline RSVP to allow registrants to decline attendance from the online registration form.

Note: Registrants who decline RSVP on the event registration form appear as Declined in the list of participants on the Event record to help you remove them from future event updates. For more information, see Participants.

Tip: Select Allow registrants to make additional donations so registrants can still opt to donate even when they decline attendance.

We’ve made enhancements to the code snippet for online registration forms you create with the registration form designer:

• You can now embed multiple registration forms on a single webpage.

• From Marketing, Email, Marketing Emails, successful transactions from recipients who interact with links on webpages that contain embedded forms are now included in performance analytics. For more information, see Marketing Email Performance Analysis.

When you add a registration form, you can now include an optional field to collect registrant or payment middle name information. To add the middle name fields to a form, from an event record, add or edit a form under Online registration forms. Select Form to open Form builder. To edit registrant or payment name fields, hover over the names section of the form and select Click to edit. Select to include the middle name field and edit the label if necessary.

When you create a new constituent from Gift Management, Online data review, we now support the default constituent code you set in Online Giving.

Online data review allows users to review donations that come through Raiser's Edge NXT donation forms and link them to constituent records. You have the option to choose automatic matching, which is the default, or choose one of the two review options to manually link transactions to constituents. To navigate to Online data review, select Fundraising, Gift Management. Then, select Online data review under Settings.

To surface your most important tasks, the Gift Management landing page is now changing. From the Gift management action hub, you can now view the most important tasks that need attention and quickly access feature areas, such as Gifts and Gift batches, under Related links.

Under Unapproved batches, view batches pending approval. To edit the gifts in a batch or edit details about a batch, select its menu.

Note: Only unapproved batches appear under Gift management. To view approved batches, select View all batches.

Now, you can add a pledge when you add a gift from Home, Gift management, and a constituent record in the web view. Previously, you could only add a pledge in the database view. To make it easier for you to recognize constituents for gifts, you can now select to automatically soft credit constituents, such as spouses, in web view.

To automatically soft credit a constituent, under Relationships on the constituent record, select Edit relationship from the menu. Select Automatically soft credit this individual for gifts.

Tip: If the constituent does not have any relationships, you will need to add a relationship to the constituent record before you can automatically soft credit them for gifts. For more information, see Relationships.

  Note: When merging, the target record value will remain.

• Has no valid address

  Note: When merging, if either the source or target record has a valid address, Has no valid address will be disabled on the target record.

  Note: When merging, if either the source or target record requests no email, Requests no email will be enabled on the target record.

To help keep your data current and accurate, you can now delete constituents from their record in web view. Previously, you could only delete constituents in database view.

To remove a constituent, from their constituent record, select Edit, Delete.

Note: Once you delete a record, it is permanently removed from your database. You can’t delete constituent records associated with gifts or if you don’t have permission to delete constituents.

To help you manage lists, users with Supervisor rights in database view can now delete other users’ lists marked “View-only.” For example, when a user leaves an organization, Supervisor users are able to clean up any lists that are no longer needed. To remove a saved list you no longer need, open it in Lists and select Delete.

Note: In a constituent list, select More, Delete.

Previously, others could view a user’s lists, but not edit them. For more information, see Lists.

We're improving how you connect SKY applications and access NXT Data Integration for Raiser's Edge NXT. Previously, the environment admin was the only role that had permission to manage SKY applications and access the API.

• You can use the Marketplace User management role to assign permissions with a greater level of granularity to enable any user to manage SKY applications in the Marketplace. Decide who can connect and disconnect applications, and who can approve scope changes. For more details, see the Permissions to connect applications help.

• For those who use the NXT Data Integration API, we’ve introduced a new Extensibility role to assign permission to access the API.
